Tsutomu Nihei and Polygon Pictures New TV Anime Project Announced for 2022 Fuji TV +Ultra

Polygon Pictures is a Japanese 3DCG animation studio. They have animated a wide variety of content, from commercials for Shiseido featuring the studio's original penguin characters Rocky & Hopper, to the 3D CG anime television series Digital Tokoro-san and the 3DCG anime film Samuroid Zero. They also contributed the 3DCG parts for Production I.G's Mamoru Oshii-directed Innocence, the second feature anime film of the Ghost in the Shell universe, as well as his subsequent film, The Sky Crawlers.

Polygon Pictures also created the animation for the Disney XD series Tron: Uprising, as well as several episodes of the hit show Star Wars: The Clone Wars, broadcast on Cartoon Network.

Recently Anime Producer Polygon Pictures announced 2 new Anime for Fuji TV +Ultra block.

ESTAB LIFE: GREAT ESCAPE

This is ESTAB LIFE: an original series from Goro Taniguchi. A series of adventures unfolding in a re-imagined Tokyo spanning an anime TV series, mobile game, and anime feature film. The anime TV series ESTAB LIFE: GREAT ESCAPE will air on Fuji TV +Ultra from April 2022.

Synopsis -

The distant future. After reaching its peak, Earth's population fell into decline. AI was developed to help preserve the species and manage the ecosystem; a grand experiment in human diversity. Through genetic engineering, a diverse array of peoples, including beast-folk, magical beings, and more, was created to live in a diverse city separated into walled "clusters". Each cluster developed a unique culture, befitting the people that lived there. Their lives, and the system, is continually maintained by the AI to ensure survival.

Ooyukiumi no Kaina

A project brought to life by Polygon Pictures in conjunction with internationally acclaimed manga creator Tsutomu Nihei. This epic fantasy story will be realized as a serialized manga by Itoe Takemoto (The Beast Player) and an animated TV series by director Hiroaki Ando (Listeners, Ajin: Demi-Human). After a long development period, this title will finally be released as Polygon Pictures' 40th-anniversary work. The anime TV series Ooyukiumi no Kaina will air on Fuji TV +Ultra from January 2023.

Ooyukiumi no Kaina

Synopsis -

A world blanketed in an endless and ever-growing ocean of snow. The people eke out a living, either huddled around the roots of enormous trees dotting the surface or high in the canopy, which spreads over the planet's atmosphere. A chance meeting between Kaina, a youth from the canopy, and Liliha, a young woman from the surface, sets off a chain of events that will change the fate of the world.
