Kotaro Lives Alone anime key visual unveiled; worldwide streaming begins this spring, only on Netflix

Kotaro Lives Alone is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Mami Tsumura. It has been serialized in Shogakukan's seinen manga magazine Big Comic Superior since March 2015. A ten-episode television drama was broadcast on TV Asahi in 2021. A Netflix original net animation (ONA) anime series adaptation by Liden Films is scheduled for a worldwide release in 2022 spring.

The anime website also unveiled the casts and staff as Junichi Suwabe from Great Pretender will be voicing Isamu Tamaru and Saori Hayami from Senpai ga Uzai Kouhai no Hanashi will be voicing Mizuki Akitomo. Tomoe Makino from Kitsutsuki Tanteidokoro helms the anime, with series composition by Yuu Satou from Uchuu Senkan Tiramisù. Tomomi Kimura from Kochouki: Wakaki Nobunaga sub-character design is designing the characters.

Synopsis -

The "apartment comedy with laughs and tears" centers on a four-year-old boy named Kotarou Satоou, who moves next door to Shin Karino, an unsuccessful manga artist. Kotarou has no parents and lives alone. Not only does he seem to earn a living, he actually seems more put together than his own strange neighbours.
